CityVision

Bluelon CityVision – Smart, Secure, and Scalable City Management

CityVision is an advanced, open-source smart city management platform designed to secure the future of urban infrastructure. Built with open protocols and robust security at its core, CityVision seamlessly connects, monitors, and manages thousands of luminaires, sensors, energy meters, traffic counters, etc. in real time.

With its user-friendly, web-based interface, CityVision empowers municipalities and facility operators to gain a live, map-based operational overview of their assets. From traffic monitoring and parking sensors to school-zone lighting schedules, CityVision ensures safer, more sustainable, and more efficient city environments.

Key Benefits

  • Future-proof & open – Open-source server platform and protocols ensure flexibility, scalability, and independence from vendor lock-in.
  • Enhanced safety – Adaptive lighting improves road safety, for example by increasing brightness near schools during critical hours.
  • Cost-effective & quick ROI – Easy installation and integration of diverse sensors deliver fast returns of investment.
  • Smarter operations – Real-time monitoring automatically detects and reports faults, instantly notifying the installer to ensure rapid response and minimal downtime.
  • Sustainability built in – Ad-hoc and scheduled energy optimization lowers costs and reduces environmental impact.

Powerful Features

  • Secure connection – Encrypted and reliable communication with cloud or local hosting options.
  • Auto-commissioning – New nodes are detected, registered, and configured automatically.
  • Real-time monitoring & control – Immediate oversight of luminaires, sensors, and energy consumption.
  • Automated data handling – Collects performance data, generates reports, and distributes error alerts via email/SMS.
  • Asset management – Integrated GPS tracking of connected infrastructure.
  • Scalable architecture – Supports virtually unlimited nodes for long-term growth.
  • Precise planning – Tools for optimized scheduling, dimming, and light level adjustments.

Flexible Configuration

  • Cloud or local hosting – Deploy CityVision in the cloud or on-premises to match operational needs.
  • Auto-connect devices – Zhaga socket controllers and sensors automatically connect via the nearest point and register with default parameters.
  • Remote updates – All connected devices can be updated centrally from the CityVision server.
  • Fine-grained control – Adjust light levels, dimming, and scheduling per individual lamp or groups.
  • Real-time map-based interface – Visualize, monitor, and manage all nodes across the city.
  • Commissioning management – Simple onboarding and configuration of new hardware.
  • Node monitoring – Track status and performance of each luminaire or sensor.

Hardware Controllers

Our Gateways (SLC250) and Nodes (SCL150) form the backbone of a powerful and flexible autonomous mesh network, while also offering the option to connect to a central management server. Both device types are designed with reliability, scalability, and intelligent control in mind, making them ideal for modern smart city and IoT lighting applications.

Each controller is equipped with advanced built-in features, including DALI D4i for reliable luminaire communication and a Zhaga socket that allows easy integration of smart lighting modules. A built-in GPS module provides accurate positioning along with automatic date and time synchronization, while the accelerometer monitors tilt and leveling to ensure proper installation. The compass detects directional twists, and the lux sensor measures ambient light levels for precise light control and optimized energy use.

The system also performs automatic sunrise and sunset calculations based on GPS data to adjust lighting behavior accordingly. Optional components such as a PIR sensor for pedestrian detection, radar for motion sensing, and Bluetooth connectivity for short-range communication can further enhance functionality. In addition, an advanced scheduling feature supports weekly and event-based calendars, all fully programmable through the CityVision platform.
